Carolina Panthers star cornerback Jaycee Horn is expected to miss Monday night’s upcoming tilt with the New Orleans Saints due to a hamstring injury and could be multiple weeks, according to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler.
Horn, who missed 18 games his first two seasons with injuries, suffered the injury during the first half of the Panthers’ 24-10 loss to the Atlanta Falcons during opening weekend, and will likely be replaced by veteran corner Troy Hill.
Panthers head coach Frank Reich stated that Hill played “well” after replacing Horn on Sunday.
As NFL journalists have noted, Horn has had issues with injuries since the Panthers drafted him with the eighth pick of the 2021 draft. Horn suffered a season-ending foot injury in the third game of his rookie season and missed the last four games of the 2022 season with a fractured wrist.
