Former NFL quarterback Vince Young is eyeing an NFL comeback. Young has hired agent Leigh Steinberg who made the official announcement yesterday on Twitter.

Young, 33, currently works for the University of Texas as a development officer in its division of diversity and community engagement. His last comeback attempt was back in 2014 with the Cleveland Browns, who eventually cut him after drafting Johnny Manziel.

Young is already drawing interest from the Spring League, which is an independent four-team football league made up of free agents that debuts in April. They have publicly made their interest in Young known.

Young has not played in an NFL regular-season game since 2011 and retired back in 2014. At 33 it could be hard for Young to find another starting gig, but may be able to catch on with a team’s practice squad or as a 3rd string quarterback.

Pro Football Talk has noted that if Young does return he could be facing a possible suspension.

Young was arrested for a misdemeanor driving while intoxicated in Texas back in January 2016. Young pleaded no contest to those charges last month, per Ryan Autullo of the Austin American-Statesman.

Per NFL policies, Young would be handed a two-game suspension.
