Ravens’ Lamar Jackson Still Hoping Team Will Sign Antonio Brown

Baltimore Ravens franchise quarterback Lamar Jackson is hoping that one of the league’s weakest wide receiving corps will be drastically improved in 2020 and hopes that the team will turn to All-Pro veteran wideout Antonio Brown for help this season, according to ESPN’s Jamison Hensley.

“I was hoping we would get him,” Jackson said. “I’m still hoping — a little bit.”

Jackson worked out with Brown, who also happens to be the cousin of Ravens’ wide receiver Marquise “Hollywood” Brown, and says that he would be “happy” if Baltimore could bring in AB.

“We want to win, and I can tell in him [that] he wants to win,” Jackson said. “He wants to play ball.”

Despite a need to provide more receiving weapons for Jackson, the team has not publicly shown an interest in signing Brown, who despite his talent comes with a ton of baggage.

“I just feel, around us, he was a great guy,” Jackson said. “You don’t see anything going on at all. He’s a cool, down-to-earth guy. He’s passionate about the sport of football.”
