The Los Angeles Rams are working on a contract extension for wide receiver Cooper Kupp, but it is unlikely that a new deal will be completed before the start of Week 1, according to NFL Network insider’s Steve Wyche and Mike Garafolo.
According to Wyche, there is “a lot of work to be done” before an extension is complete, despite the Rams hoping to get a deal done before the official kickoff of the 2020 regular season.
Kupp, 27, is coming off the best season of his career, hauling in 94 receptions for 1,161 yards and 10 touchdowns for the Rams during the 2019 season.
