Portland Trail Blazers guard CJ McCollum will miss extended time after he suffered a small hairline fracture in his left foot, according to Yahoo Sports’ Chris Haynes.
McCollum also suffered a mid-foot sprain, and the team plans to re-evaluate him in four weeks. McCollum hasn’t played since the Blazers win over the Atlanta Hawks back on January 16th, playing only 18 minutes before being forced out of the game at halftime.
The loss of McCollum will be a major blow to a Blazers team that is already without big man Jusuf Nurkic for the next several weeks due to a wrist injury.
McCollum has posted 26.7 points, 5.0 assists, and 1.3 steals during the 2020-2021 regular season so far.
