The Kansas City Chiefs are bolstering an offensive line that has undergone some serious changes, agreeing to a five-year, $80 million contract with free agent guard Joe Thuney, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
The Chiefs turned heads last week when they surprisingly released tackles Eric Fisher and Mitchell Schwartz, and are also expected to lose center Austin Reitler during free agency. But Kansas City has swung back in a major way.
Thuney is now the highest paid guard in the league, earning $16 million annually.
