The New England Patriots just landed defensive tackle talent from a division rival, agreeing to terms with former Miami Dolphins tackle Davon Godchaux on a two-year contract that is worth up to $16 million, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
Godchaux’s new deal includes $9 million guaranteed.
Godchaux was unlikely to land back in Miami following a 2020 season that limited him to only 5 games due to injury. During those 5 games Godchaux collected 14 tackles.
