The Detroit Lions have officially waived veteran cornerback Quinton Dunbar a day ahead of their preseason opener against the Buffalo Bills, according to ESPN’s Eric Woodyard.
In a corresponding move, the Lions have signed free-agent running back Craig Reynolds.
After signing a one-year deal with the Lions during the offseason, Dunbar missed a significant portion of training camp due to personal reasons. Dunbar is coming off an injury plagued season where he was limited to just 6 games with the Seattle Seahawks.
Dunbar was shut down with a knee injury that required season-ending surgery.
