Cleveland Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield is again the target of some comments made by the father of a teammate, following last month’s fiasco involving then-Browns receiver Odell Beckham Jr., who now plays for the Los Angeles Rams following his release from the Browns.
Beckham’s father fueled that exit from the organization, in part, by posting a video showing all the times his son was open and Mayfield failed to get the ball to him.
Now, the father of Brown’s running back Kareem Hunt is sharing his thoughts on Mayfield’s play.
Kareem Hunt Sr. said of Mayfield (on Facebook), “I’m stating facts on football and what we see [is] he’s limping, he’s scared to throw the ball and they know he’s hurt.” Hunt would go on to say – “I’m not jeopardizing nothing, I got a right to speak. I ain’t posting no videos.”
Mayfield is clearly not the same quarterback he was last season, and has been on a sharp decline since a stellar performance against the Cincinnati Bengals back in Week 9. The Browns dropped another game last night, this time to the Baltimore Ravens.
