The Toronto Blue Jays have landed former San Francisco Giants starter Kevin Gausman, who appeared close to re-signing with San Francisco, inking him to a five-year, $110 million deal, according to ESPN’s Jeff Passan.
Gausman finished sixth in NL Cy Young voting this past season after posting a 14-6 record with a 2.81 ERA and collecting 227 strikeouts. Gausman, 30, also made his first All-Star Game appearance this past season.
Toronto now shifts it’s attention to re-signing AL Cy Young Award winner Robbie Ray, who is currently a free agent.
