Milwaukee Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo has finally commented on the recent firing of head coach Mike Budenholzer, a shocking development following the Bucks epic first round upset at the hands of the Miami Heat in the NBA Playoffs.
Antetokounmpo, who won an NBA Championship with Budenholzer, posted a photo on his official Twitter page of himself and the former Bucks coach hugging during their NBA title win in the NBA Finals against the Phoenix Suns back in 2021 and added a caption: “Thank you for five meaningful years Coach. We accomplished something unbelievable and I’m forever grateful.”
The Bucks, who entered NBA playoff action as the Eastern Conference’s number one seed were defeated by the 8th seed Heat. That loss led to the Bucks making the shocking decision to fire Budenholzer, which left every sports social media platform buzzing.
Now, Milwaukee faces an offseason with a lot of questions as they not only need a new head coach, but need to address a roster that has pending free agents and is in need of revamped depth around their MVP cornerstone.
