1 Min Read

The Philadelphia 76ers are bringing back veteran guard Danny Green who has agreed to a one-year deal to return to the team his agent, Sam Permut of Roc Nation Sports says, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.

Green, 36, returns to the Sixers where he has strong relationships with new head coach Nick Nurse and superstar MVP big man Joel Embiid. Green is a three-time NBA champion who tore his left ACL and LCL in Game 6 of the Sixers’ 2022 Eastern Conference playoff loss to the Miami Heat.

Green was eventually traded to the Memphis Grizzlies that offseason.

Green signed a free agent deal to finish the 2022-2023 season with the Cleveland Cavaliers following a trade-deadline deal that saw Green head to the Houston Rockets, who ultimately waived him.
