The Atlanta Falcons are taking a chance on former first round pick Laquan Treadwell by signing him to their practice squad, according to NFL Network insider Tom Pelissero.
A former first round pick in the 2016 NFL Draft, Treadwell never played to the investment level that the Minnesota Vikings made when they drafted him out of Ole Miss.
During his career in Minnesota, Treadwell caught 65 receptions for 701 receiving yards and 2 touchdowns over four seasons.
Treadwell signed with the Falcons back in March, but was released due to their depth at the wide receiver position.
