The Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame’s Class of 2018 is adding Jason Kidd, Steve Nash and Grant Hill, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.
Kidd, Nash and Hill each have been officially notified of their inductions into the 2018 Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame class.
Joining them will be Maurice Cheeks.
A formal announcement of the full 2018 Hall of Fame class will come at a Final Four news conference in San Antonio this weekend.
Kidd and Nash rank second and third in NBA career assists. Kidd also ranks third in NBA history with 107 triple-doubles.
Nash was a evolutionary player who captured 2 MVP awards while leading the up-tempo, fast-paced offense of the Phoenix Suns, which was dubbed “7 seconds or less” and introduced an energetic and entertaining style into the league.
Hill, who had an injury-plagued career, was a two-time national champion and two-time All-American at Duke. Hill never lived up to his full potential, due to injuries, but finished his career on a strong note playing alongside Nash with the Phoenix Suns.
