The Philadelphia Eagles have re-worked the contract of star veteran defensive tackle Fletcher Cox.
According to ESPN’s Field Yates, the Eagles converted $7.165 million of Cox’s salary into a bonus, and have now created an extra $5.732 million in cap space for 2020.
The Eagles will feel a financial hit for the move in 2021, and they are on tap for a serious numbers game as they look towards next season.
Cox, 30, signed a six-year, $102.5 million contract extension back in 2016.
