New Orleans Saints veteran cornerback Patrick Robinson has informed the team that he plans to retire, according to NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport.

Robinson, 33, was set to enter the final year of his contract and 12th season of his NFL career. Robinson was a first round pick of the Saints who found his way back to the team after he was a part of the Philadelphia Eagles Super Bowl Championship team of 2017.

Robinson then inked a four-year, $20 million contract to return to New Orleans.
