As most of you are already well aware, I have taken a very active initiative to bring SportsRantz Radio to the next level as we head into 2013. With that being said, we are always on the hunt for new and exciting shows to add to our already impressive lineup.
We are excited to announce that Babes Dig Balls, a new and popular sports blog by babes who like balls…and pucks. They will be manning our Wednesday night slot and become our first official late night talk show. Move over David Letterman and Conan O’Brien here comes Miranda Furtado and Tia Preece!
We asked Miranda Furtado, creator of Babes Dig Balls to share with all of you, what makes her blog so exciting:
Obviously, we’re not limited to just ball and puck sports — all sports take balls! #DoubleEntendreBDB is where sport meets entertainment. We don’t aim to bring the latest breaking news — or be sports analysts, but we aim to be educational and have an opinion. We are somewhere between People.com and ESPN.Fans will love us because we’re bringing a different side of sports to the table. Instead of feasting on statistics and scores, we’re bringing listeners the news from the other side of the field, court pitch – whatever they may be into.We have a great all-female team, and we pride ourselves in saying that our girls know their ISH! Whether you’re talking basketball with Hope or NFL with Hayley – our babely writers are able to not only hold a conversation – but probably school you in it, too!BDB straddles a very fine line. We’re bridging the gap between the two sexes. We have a very niche demographic — which is why people love us! It’s somewhere that men can come and read sports entertainment without being flooded with headlines about Tom and Katie — and somewhere that ladies won’t feel intimidated to come to learn more about the sports world. We also house Sports Babe of the Day, which is an exclusive interview feature on our website that highlights athletes from different sports, and shows their fans their personal side.
