Team Liquid have hired commentator Jason “Moses” O’Toole as their new Counter Strike: Global Offensive head coach, the team officially announced on Sunday.
O’Toole will take over for Eric “adreN” Hoag as the new coach as Liquid undergoes another change. They have replaced veteran leader Nicholas “Nitr0” Cannella with Michael “Grim” Wince as well.
O’Toole takes on his first coaching gig, and will officially step away from his commentary role to do so.
“It’s exciting going into that next stage of, ‘what can you do now as a coach?'” Moses said in a video from Liquid (h/t ESPN’s Jacob Wolf). You’ve been a player. You’ve been a commentator. What can you do when you’re leading a team? That’s the challenge that really, more than anything, inspired me to take this on.”
